Myths due to which People Do Not Vote
1."I was not born in Pune/Maharashtra, so I cannot vote in Pune."
This idea is Incorrect. In India every citizen can vote in the place in which he is living currently. Thus if you are working/studying in Pune, then you can vote here.
2. "Educated people like me are a minority. Our vote does not make any difference."
This idea is incorrect. Pune City has 11 Vidhan Sabha(MLA) seats and 3 Lok Sabha (MP) seats. In the last election
The number of educated voters in Pune is much more than 11 lakh. Thus if all educated people in Pune register and vote, then the outcome of election will be entirely different.
